Maybe she's a different Betsy Jones-Moreland here from in the Corman films (think "Mary Belle Monahan" in Creature From The Haunted Sea), but "matronly" and "looks old enough to be his mother" are a bit of a stretch.Grantnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8535833613343533564.post-66023313065376193132011-02-04T22:54:50.887-08:002011-02-04T22:54:50.887-08:00Stingy perhaps my great friend and colleague, but ...Stingy perhaps my great friend and colleague, but that is what makes horse races. I just happen to see some value in its central idea (which, as noted in earlier posts, was powerful enough to launch STAR TREK) and Warren Oates' refreshingly unmannered, achingly-realistic approach to his bug-eyed bear. Anything less than one Zanti for premise and another for lead performance seems a tad stingy in my book. But hey, we can "not argue" about this and other burning issues over lunch...Gary Geraninoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8535833613343533564.post-27099430630549489952011-02-04T19:45:52.387-08:002011-02-04T19:45:52.387-08:00Stooges-a-Day episodes?!
